How much does this cost?

A four hour event average is a little over $1000 but every wedding is different. All of our packages are fully customized, and come with free consultations. We will meet where you feel comfortable, at your home, our office, a coffee shop or restaurant. We will discuss your vision and fill out a wedding day planner. Every detail is worked out before your special day. 

If all you want is the cheapest DJ, please call someone else. Our mobile entertainment services will make your event unforgettable, elegant and amazingly successful. We will help you create the best reception ever, or we will refund your money – Guaranteed

What kind of music do you play?

The music you, your family and friends want to hear and dance to –  at appropriate volumes. We gladly play requests. Our library contains music from the 40’s through all of today’s hottest chart-toppers! Whether it’s Disco, Motown, Big Band, Swing, Oldies, Club Dance, Hip Hop, New Wave, Classic Rock, Pop, Salsa, Merengue or Country, we have it!  We’re able to program music for family, friends, and guests of all ages and likes. If you’d like us to focus on a music style/genre, or if there is something you don’t want to hear, let us know.

How far in advance should I book Alegria DeeJays?

Our 2011 calendar is filling fast. At least, a two week notice is necessary to guarantee a smooth event. However, book as early as you can to hold your date. It is not uncommon in New York to book your date one year in advance.

Alegria DeeJays only book one event per day to give our clients our complete attention. We will not be late from an earlier event or rush out of your reception to perform at someone else’s party.

Are you licensed and Insured?

Yes, Alegria Deejays is fully licensed and insured for two million dollars. For your own piece of mind, make sure your deejay is insured. If not YOU may be liable if something goes wrong.

What do you wear?

For formal events, DJ Louie will wear tuxedo, MC Vanda wears a gown or formal wear. If your event is less formal and you would like me in a suit, or if you are having a themed event, just let us know and we will be dressed to meet your desires.

What does your setup look like?

We use a Professional BOSE system. The sound is spectacular, but just as importantly it is beautiful looking. You have a picture in your mind of what your reception will look like. You’ve planned every little detail – the flowers, plates, maid’s dresses and more. You do not want to see monster concert speakers, exposed cables and a sloppy DJ area. We are extremely neat. Our setup takes up very little space, leaving you more room to dance.

What does Alegria DeeJays offer that other deejays do not?

Now, imagine your aunt or grandmother hearing the introduction of your first dance, in the language she grew up with. we are multilingual. MC Vanda speaks several languages. Your extended family will feel included, announcements and activities can be spoken in several languages.

Additionally, over the years we have learned when to get the party moving and when to tone it down. We love to please.

We work closely with the other wedding professionals (photographers, Maitre’d, videographers, etc.) to make your event run as smoothly as possible. Our personal style is loving, polite and friendly, not overbearing or obnoxious. We use humor, meet with people and stay flexible with the flow of events.
